Our History
Built in the 1850s as a single-family home, Mount Pleasant Home has a rich history of providing service to the Dubuque community.
Our Mission
To provide housing and service options for individuals, with emphasis on serving a diverse population and giving priority to those with limited financial resources and inadequate support systems.

To achieve this mission, the Mount Pleasant Home will:

Promote the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual health of Mount Pleasant Home residents in a warm, caring environment that encourages independence and enables to "age in place" as long as possible;

Assure the financial soundness of the home;

Develop and maintain a competent, compassionate and professional staff;

Conduct the business of the home in a manner that is guided by the highest ethical principles and is consistent with the spirit and intent of its founders;

Seek means and resources to promote relationships with the external community.
Our Purpose
Mount Pleasant Home is an independent-living residence that provides the extras that you would expect: family-style meals, housekeeping, activities, and more.
